Yes. This sauce is semi-homemade. And yes, there are quite a few ingredients to measure. But most commercial barbecue sauces are FILLED with hidden sugar in one form or another. This low carb keto BBQ sauce tastes tangy, spicy, tomato-ey and maple-icious. Many don't believe that Walden Farms products taste good, but their beauty comes in providing volume to low carb recipes that are then spiced up and tricked out. Easy peasy and delish on any meat. Denny gives it a solid 9 out of 10 stars (and he never gives 10s-well there was that one time...in band camp.) If you trust me on this, it will become your go-to low carb keto barbecue sauce. It doubles and triples easily!

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons Walden Farms Thick & Spicy Barbecue Sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Walden Farms Ketchup
- 1 tablespoon bacon drippings
- 1 tablespoon unfiltered apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce—we use Dave's Pure Insanity Hot Sauce or Sontava XXX Habanero Hot Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Country Dijon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne (optional)
- 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Sambal Oelek—or Sriracha Sauce aka Rooster Sauce
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pan or small nonstick skillet. Let it bubble away on medium high heat for 1-2 minutes until thick and hearty. Store in an airtight container in the fridge, up to 2 weeks.
- Microwave Alternative. Combine all ingredients in a Pyrex measuring cup. Cover with a microwave-safe saucer or plastic. Nuke on high for 1 minute. Stir. Nuke another 30 seconds, stir and use. Enjoy!
